Ini Usoro has been an engineer for 39 years. She is a Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and a past president of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN). She is also affiliated to the Society of Women Engineers (USA), Nigerian Institute of Highway and Transportation Engineers, the Nigerian Institute of Management and the American Association of Civil Engineers.
Ini retired as a Director with the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency. Her professional career spanned highway design, construction, maintenance, and management.

A life laid bare without holding back; Typical of Ini. Written in such a simple style, telling it all. It is an interesting MUST-read.
Just like President Obama, Ini is born by intentional parents and raised in, and continues to travel to, many nations. This fact alone strategically positions Ini to lead in all areas, including possibly as the head of her own native country, Nigeria. This book details Ini as the embodiment of a wonderful woman born specifically to lead. I enjoyed it.
This memoir can serve as a guide for parenting; manualfor career and character building/healthy living. Read it, learn it, live it and Enjoy it.
The writing style is delicious; a non fiction that is crisp (no verbosity) and lyrical in details. She dug deep to share about her childhood in Nigeria, the US, her family and her upbringing; enlightening even those of us who have known her for many years.
The first thing that strikes the reader is how extremely well written this book is. Because I know that Ini wrote it herself, and in a rather short period of time, I am doubly impressed. I did not find a single typo or error.
"I have worked over the years learning to manage my emotions; after all, getting angry won't solve the problem". I strongly recommend the book for your reading pleasure.
